... To do a photoshoot. It’s been a while since I’ve wanted to do a photoshoot there, and with opponaut Dogapult and his friend being around Okazaki for a couple of days, I thought it was a good time to finally call them for a proper one. I won’t go into details right now, as I’ll do an article for it, and I still have to go back there to shoot a proper video, but the place is simply astonishing. Ever heard a Skyline Hakosuka with a carbed RB26 engine and 3 Mikunis?? Yup, that much awesomness! Anyway, the owner Watanabe-san, gave us a full tour of the whole Okazaki headquarter and by pure luck, Shihomi Hosoya-san, Captain of Toyota racing team and Toyota 2000GT test driver (he was one of the driver who did the 78h top speed endurance record for the 2000GT back in 1966) was visiting at the same time we were! Freaking insane to meet such an iconic person...
Anyway, still shaking from the few hours I spent there, it was one of the greatest (if not the greatest) moment I ever spent in Japan. Absolutely awesome!
Obviously, I will write a full article on this day at Rocky Auto, which, who knows, you may read at some point on R&T or on Jalopnik, depending on who wants to buy it from me haha :)
If no one gives a crap about it, don’t worry, I’ll throw everything on Oppo! :)
That’s only 1/3 of what Watanabe-san owns actually... One-Fucking-Third.

Replicas, all of them (perfect ones though). One has an hybrid drivetrain, another has a VG30DE and I’m not sure what the third one has. Rocky Auto experimented with 2000gt replicas quite a bit during the past 3 years.
Just to be clear, these are the only replicas in this picture :)

Yeah, that’s on an other level to anything you can even imagine... And I know you’ve seen quite a few cool things, but that doesn’t even come anywhere close to how awesome it is... And guess what? It’s 10 minutes drive away from my place lol
